Weekend Manager I

The Weekend Manager I helps create a welcoming, supportive environment for families, volunteers, and guests at Ronald McDonald House Greater Charlotte. Serving as the Manager on Duty, this role helps ensure the House operates smoothly, family needs are addressed, volunteers are supported, and the facility remains safe, clean, and welcoming throughout each shift.

Schedule: Every other Saturday and Sunday, 2:00–10:00 p.m.

The Weekend Manager works closely with Family Services, volunteers, security, and other staff to support day-to-day House operations. Responsibilities include coordinating family check-ins and check-outs, assisting with guest needs and emergencies, maintaining accurate records, monitoring House safety, communicating maintenance concerns, and helping ensure established policies and procedures are followed.

This position also plays an important role in the volunteer and guest experience by welcoming community groups, supporting House Operations Volunteers and meal teams, providing tours as needed, and helping volunteers stay engaged and connected to the mission.

Administrative responsibilities include maintaining guest and House records, communicating with families about upcoming opportunities, and supporting families who choose to share their stories in a respectful and empowering way.
